Art Academy Christmas Calendar

One of my projects this autumn has been this hand knitted patchwork blanked.
The whole thing started very simple, I wanted a new blanked for my bed. A Black Metal blanked with knitting on one side and band t-shirts on the other side. I´ve been knitting small black squares since May, and that part is is almost completely over. And I got all the shirts I need, thanks to a lot of friends and others (who and what all come later someday).

But someplace in the process I started wondering if it could be something more that "just a bed blanked" And now I want to do something with the t-shirts as well, before it ends upon my bed.

Then, after talking to many of the staff on the Art Academy and my fellow art students, it slowly became a new project. And somewhere along the way I got the news that some former student, Tito Frey, were putting up this Christmas Calendar on Oslo S (Oslo Central Station).
After some sketching, writing and emails, my work was selected to be shown. There were chosen 24 different art work in all. More info about the project in on the homepage to the Christmas Calendar. http://www.kunstakademiets-julekalender.no/about.html

On the 7th day of December my work was shown.
In a very stressed mood I gave it the title "Aura Noir" right before I left it over to somebody else November 19th.. I´m still not sure if it was a good idea or just totally stupid....
I just wanted the box to be black and dark... like the long nights we have here in Norway at this time. And Christmas is not so bright and shiny for everyone.

Here is the box, 07.12.12

One of the sketches....

How it looks like in the studio. got 180... I wish I had time to make more patches...

Me stitching it together in my studio.

This is how my new studio on school looks like by the way! I got plenty of space, at least compared to last year! On the wall you can see some of the drawings I´ve been working on this autumn as well. Not finished then, but finished now as I write.

To see all the artworks, just follow this link http://www.kunstakademiets-julekalender.no/7.html

A weekend in Haugesund aka Helvette

In the weekend I visited my hometown Haugesund to spend some  time with family, since I had little time to do that last time I was there regarding the Karmøygeddon Metal Festival.

I also had another mission, to pick up a art work made by Dagfinn S. Bjelland and give him one of my drawings.

Nekro seagull killing moose. Haugesund special ;) "Til Helvette"
Specialy made for Dagfinn!

Here you have me as a happy new owner of a brilliant portrait of Lemmy from Mötorhead :)
Succsessful trade :)

Saturday and Sunday me and my Dad were out fishing! :D
Fishing in Rogaland is always sweet! Did´nt get anything, but it´s so incredible nice to be out in the nature, especially since I live in the middle of Oslo!

My Dad chilling in the sun :) ..shortly after this it stared to snow and hail...
Wether on the west-coast on it´s best!

Found a dead lamb :(

This is a drawing I made to my Dad. I don't have any better pictures of it then this one...

The Rats

This drawing I donated to something called SELLOUT, witch is a exhibition made by some of the students here at the Art Academy. Every art work donated is sold for 1000kr and the money will go to financing next years Year Book. They got art from many students, teachers, and artists outside the academy. The exhibition was only one day, to day. When I was visiting it earlier, a lot was already sold! :)
My drawing as well :)

For some reasons I always dream about rats. They infiltrate my dreams and have done so for many years now! Don´t know why... So the inspiration for this drawing was from one of those dreams. I´m so tired of them always keep coming back to my dreams, because there is always a problem with them!

Some of the other work on the SELLOUT exhibition on UKS (Unge Kunstneres Samfund) to day!

Neseblod- Norwegian Black Metal

NESEBLOD RECORDS PROUDLY PRESENTS "NORWEGIAN BLACK METAL - PART ONE"  Exhitition

On Thursday March the 29th, I went to the opening of the exhibition called Norwegian Black Metal at Popsenteret in Oslo. It was mainly rarities Neseblod Records have had stored for many many years who now got showed of. If you´re a big fan of Mayhem, Darkthrone or Burzum there is plenty of small and interesting things to look at.
I think it is a really good idea to make this kind of exhibition, but I must admit I was a little dissapointet when I arrived. NOT because the material was not interesting, but as an art student I got a little critical about how everything was put together. It was all Black Metalized and it looked grim.. It was just like inside the Neseblod Records store..only now they had much more space! ...But I wish they had placed things around more "exclusive", careful and given more place and space to the material. Anyway... It felt at least pretty cosy in there ;)

Euronymous of Mayhem´s Cross

The original painting which is inside Darkthrone´s album Under A Funeral Moone

The first Darkthrone drawing :)

One school picture is of Necrobutcher  and Manheim from Mayhem when they was in the sixth grade :)

OLD Mayhem pictures!

Love this one!!! Euronymous and the Parrot! Totally Black Metal!

Only Mayhem casettes!

Slayer Magazine and photos from Jon Kristiansen aka Metallion had it´s own corner.

This installation was a bit interesting. Inside they have projected three videos of bands like Darktrhone and Old Funeral. And you had to see through small holes in the wood to watch them. It was pretty hard to see them good, but I guess that builds on the idea that some parts of Metal should be  or is hard to get hold on.

After a while they showed a video of Darkthrone playing from 1990!
They are so young and small and cute!!! Haha

Darkthrone screening!

And then me and my good friend Erlend and Saga had some fun with my new Moose..cooking...thing..
Before we went to Unholy for some more beer and good music!

I´m looking forward to "part two" sometime in the future!

The exhibition is open from March 29th to 29th of April.

01.03.2010

To day it is two years since my Mom died....sleeping in her bed.
I miss her absolutely every day, especially when there is a lot of good times in my life.
I also miss my dog Aika, and my Grandmother who also died within a year back then. Hard times.
It is so strange that it has gone two years already, it does not feel like it... or, time for me after 2010 have gone totally out of control. I could have beed five months ago, 10 months ... four or seven years...
We all miss you!

A beautiful picture of here when she was around my age.

She always said that when she died, we should play this song in her funeral.
This will be her song for eternity!

Skin Diseases & Drawing!

Hell´s Fire!!!
This year started with a personal wish of going more into nonfigurative drawing, and focus more on the drawing in it self than what I am drawing and how good I can draw it.
So, I started to draw....random stuff...nonfigurative.. it did NOT work at all! It felt stupid and time wasting.
But when I figured out it would be much easier to start a nonfigurative project if I  based the drawings on different skin diseases, it started to work out pretty well.  Skin diseases and other diseases are... one of many interests to say it that way. I read a lot about it, and I have had pretty many of then, haha

So, here is some photos from the process, my working space at School, and some of the finished drawings.
I want to create many many of these drawings. So far I only got eight.

Drawing and listen to music is what I do best! hehe

My corner at KHIO

Scabies - a parasite,  Impetigo - is bacteria,  Pityriasis Rosea - a Virus.

Ringworm or Tinea Corporis is a skin infection due to fungi

Scabies, I had it when I was around 11  years old..it was HELL! But easy to treat.

Pityriasis Rosea..had this one last year... If I get this again I´ll kill my self, or someone else! hehe

Impetigo, I have not had this, but my best friend and my boyfriend just had it! I had to send both of them to the doctor so they could be treated. I´m just lucky I did´nt get it!

Songs of the day:  Total Funeral by Watain or the song Mistur by Mistur.

The Horse, the Deer and the Moose

This is my exhibition at the "Open Academy" in my school. My whole class and the rest of the Academy of Fine Art had something to show, this happens every year.  It was pretty interesting and fun! And people from outside could come in and take a look on what we actually are doing in here :)
The animals in the drawings are inspired by real pictures of animals that got stuck in trees for some weird reason!  It started with the news about a DRUNK swedish moose in an apple tree last year! :D Haha! And from there is just..... yeah... stuff happened :)
