Process of an Black Metal Exhibition

Here is some pictures taken during the process of making the exhibition "When Listening To Black Metal Every Day" I have used ridiculous long time on this project, even though it might not seem so, since I ONLY had eight works in the gallery space.  

Wish I had time to make more drawings though! 

But damn, it is WAY much more stressful to make an exhibition all alone than I expected, at a point I even got blind on one eye for some minutes, the day before the opening...

Made almost everything my hand, even though I have an sewing mash in in my studio. It just does not look the same. 

First time in many years I tried this. Total destruction of the t-shirts! Moahaha

Next week I´ll have an exhibition in one of the galleries at my school, Oslo National Academy of the Arts.

Opening is on Thursday 7th of November, at 19.00.

Bunker II 2013

First years Bunker festival in Oslo was a blast!

 This years Bunker festival was absolutely brutally great! 

I just want to share some of the bands I saw. 

I did´nt take picture of all the bands, only the best. 

So many great memories, so ridiculous many great persons at under one roof! 

Thanks for everything!

First out on thursday, the youngest band on the festival, Norwegian Condor from Koldbotn! Seen them many times, they never disappoint, always thrashing heavier than hell! 

Second out on thursday INFERNÔ!!!!!

BEST band out this day!

Friday!

Friday started out with Schizo from Italy. Brutal! Great gig!

Heavely headbanging going on at this point! Third time I see them live! Always a blast!

NettleCarrier for the first time ever in history! Damn!

And now... all behold.. URFAUST! From Netherland. One of my absolute favorite bands! 

I saw them once in Bergen in 2010. An unforgettable gig! So was this! I dont have words, it was sublime....

The whole Urfaust gig felt kinda like this. 

Just looking at the pictures gives me chills down my spine.

Headliner for Friday was the Norwegian band Isvind, did´nt hear about it before it showed up in the Bunker line-up. Great concert! 

I had a lot of freinds from all over the world coming visiting Oslo this very weekend. I took them with me to visit the new location for Neseblod Records. It´s where Helvete used to be. I´m very happy about that this record store finally got some bigger place.... but I feel it is still not big enough! They have so much stuff!

Khold, Norwegian band. Have´nt seen them since I was 15 years old! Pretty cool to see them again! 

Horna from Finland! YOU FUCKING STINK! Stinky stinky stinky stinker! 

For those who was not there, Hornas clothes was smelling so bad, because of rotten blood and what not. It smelled like rotten fish and puke and death and horror and hell! 

But the concert was great! Great great Black Metal! ..But the smell, the Smeeeeeell!

Death, Thrash, Hell, Aaaaaaaargh!

Aura Noir from Koldbotn played an extra long gig this evening! Ending the whole Bunker Festival for this year. I never get tired of seeing these live! Never ever and I have seen them quite a lot now. 

I am all in all extremely satisfyed with the whole festival! Oh yeah! Thanks to all those who made it into a fantastic weekend! 

Nekromalistic Summer Rituals part 2

 Enjoying the last days at my studio at the National Academy of Fine Art in Oslo. Next year I´ll be given another studio at the Academy, and I´m sure it will not be as big and awesome as the one I had this year! ;( 

Darkthrone Coffee Cup is a must!!! No trueness without it ;)

I have been spending F%#"*Û*^;+C#"!`^*K*:@%I.:`/$*N*@!"#+G long time on sewing all the t-shirts I have collected together by hand! But it was worth it! 

Still got a lot of work left before the whole Black Metal Blanked Project is finished.

Aaaaaaaaand hehe! Made this tasty cake to Vidar and Jo regarding their 5th year anniversary party for their extremely good Metal Radio show Overkill!!! Nom nom nom.

First time I tried to make this cake. In norwegian we just call it Fyrstekake! 

This spring and summer I have discovered how exceptionally fun it is to draw with feather quill pens. :)

METAL Art and METAL Radioooos!

Vidar is one of my best friends in Oslo, maybe the world. Vidar, me and Tone  had a little Sunday walk in Oslo some weeks ago. I took them to two exhibitions I though were really good. "Hold stenhårdt fast på greia di" on Kunsthall Oslo and "Damn right! -Norwegian Wood?" on Tegneforbundet.

 I only have picture of one of them....

BUT FIRST!!!! 

 THRASH, DEATH, HELL, AAAAAaaaarrrrg!!

I just want to say I like mondays, compared to others.. 

I usually spend the most of that day at the Art Academy :)  

ONE of the highlight on mondays is Vidar and Jo´s  OVERKILL, the BEST Radio program in Norway...maybe the world?!! ;)

 One hour every week from 22.00 to 23.00 on a norwegian student radio called Radio Nova. 

 Waaaay to little if you ask me! 

 It´s in norwegian, so that sucks for you who don´t understand it... OR you can just give a duck and listen to the songs they choose anyway! You can also "Like" them on their Facebook page. (do it!)

They make the world a better place for Metalheads indeed!  :)

I also want to talk warmly about another norwegian Metal radio program called JERNVERKET, on Radio Rox, every Wednesday (or Sunday if you mist it). Helle Stenkløv is playing incredibly awesome music, and I always discover something new trough her show. Like like like! 

Back to the art...

So, yes, we visited an exhibition at Tegneforbundet. A columbian artist, Humberto Junca Casas (born,1968), had made nine drawings on children school desks.

 It was a mix of Norwegian Black Metal logos and pictures from violent events in columbian history. 

I liked it very very much! it was both cool, creepy, sad, horrifying, familiar and..close to heart in a way.

 Interesting use of Black Metal references...

And then we drank a nice coffee in the sun and then a cold beer in the shadows of KNIVEN Bar! ...The best place to hang out in Oslo! UGH!
